A party fit for a Queen, an Ice Queen of course!

Well it happened. The day I couldn't imagine happening came and went and now I have a 5 year old daughter. I know I say it with every birthday and with every child but I will never understand how time started moving so quickly once we had her. The last five years have been a whirlwind and I'm hanging on with all my might to keep her little for as long as I can! She is beautiful, happy, hard working, smart, silly and unexpectedly funny. She loves with all of her heart and she has a huge heart. She is a girly girl who has suddenly taken a big interest in what she wears, how she wears her hair and her accessories. She's more fashionable than me by miles! Although she challenges me every day, she also fills my heart with joy and love.

On the day of her birthday we had her favorite dinner, lasagna and went out for ice cream. She received lots of birthday wishes and gladly soaked up all of the attention!

We celebrated her birthday with family and a group of her friends. It was a Frozen themed party of course! We started the party with gifts then had some cake and ice cream and finished up the party with some games. When everyone sang Happy Birthday to Isla, she had tears in her eyes. She was blissfully happy in that moment. We played pin the nose on Olaf and then had a scavenger hunt that used some infamous song lyrics from the movie. The last clue in the scavenger hunt lead to the grand finale of the Pinata! All Isla wanted for her party was a pinata. The kids had a blast with it and the parents had fun watching, especially when Josh had to hold the pinata at the end ;)It was a wonderful party for a beautiful girl and the look on her face was pure joy!

Now we prepare to enroll her for Kindergarten next month and her 2nd dance recital coming up this spring. Time, please slow down!
